Copyright - A Full Explanation:
All content is the property of Obsidian Bookshelf, except where noted. All rights are reserved. Don't make me send my lawyers to kill you. Here is what you can do if you would like to quote something that I've written:
Link only - the easiest option. Create a link from your website to the page on Obsidian Bookshelf containing the material to which you want to draw attention.
Blurb. Quote an excerpt (a couple of sentences or a paragraph at most), but not my entire review. Please attribute to either "Val Kovalin at Obsidianbookshelf.com" or just "Obsidianbookshelf.com." You're more than welcome to include a link back to my site to direct readers to the full review. Here is a sample format:
A Quotation in (God forbid) Your Thesis or Dissertation. I admit, this is an unlikely scenario. But you're welcome to quote a few lines, using ellipses to stand in for the material that you edit out. Here's an example of the format you would use:
"Excerpted line ... and another excerpted line." by Val Kovalin at Obsidian Bookshelf ©YEAR www.obsidianbookshelf.com.
Otherwise, my writing stays on this website. You may not copy entire reviews or essays written by me into your website even if you do attribute authorship to Obsidian Bookshelf. This is because you would still be using my writing without my permission to add to the content of your website. No offense, but I'd rather have my writing stay and work for me than get borrowed to work for someone else. Thanks for reading.
